Drunks at the newspaperstand

It’s great that all the best subcultures have their own zines. And there seems to be one out there for those who adore the almighty alcoholic beverages. Modern Drunkard is the magazine for you drunks out there. I shortly looked at the web version, and boy… they’ve got it all:

- a guide to manly drinks
- booze reviews
- wino wisdom
- guns and tequila
- drunkard of the month

I still don't think that it's actually very modern to be drunk, or is it? Is booze really the new cool?

you booze, you lose?

no, i've noticed that booze is the new hotness every couple of years. it is that time again: i'm pretty sure boozing has not been as popular in many years as it is now. and so glamourized, especially with all that Harmaa / Syvä harmaa (lonkero, that is) lovin' in Finland right now. or, that's hot, like my homegirl Paris would say.

i just miss the good ol' days when kids used to glamorize smokin pot. those were the days. nobody smokes weed anymore, i reckon? am i right?

So let's celebrate the inebriated lifestyle and open up a bottle of Grey Goose, have a sip of dat smoky Bowmore, moisten our lips with dusty '92 Remy Ma, dip our tongue into a large bowl of icy Margarita!

preferring weed over alcohol makes me feel like such an outsider-loser now. i am so sad. however, good ol' fashioned smoking & drinking at the same time still rocks!

Booze is the new cool, even in Jamaican culture. I just heard the new Tanya Stephens album "Rebelution", and at least three songs were strictly about booze. She keeps namedropping classic brands from Heineken, to Smirnoff. She doesn't just mention booze - these songs are all about booze,,,
