WACK ATTACK!But on a smallsmall positive note, his vibrato technique is pretty good actually.
C-mon... I just thought dis was funny s***t and controversial to the public image he had. Could you imagine Petri Munck doing this?
ok, I admit I only criticized Anssi's bass performance because I MYSELF USED TO PRACTICE PLAYING LIKE that, loooong tiiiiime ago. I felt very much ashamed when I watched the video. But I was NEVER AS GOOD AS ANSSI. Now I'm almost crying inside.
Fact #1: first time I met jzzi (back in like... 1992?) he played slap bass like no other. What was the name of yer band??? can't recall...
although that video was pretty much Kummeli for me, Anssi's got some friggin skills with them four strings. he slap that shit nice!yeah and i give it to the man that he has a nice sense of irony, even though he is a jesus-freak. actually i always knew that. because of what i heard him ask his band mid-gig when the band came back onstage after some of his solo acoustic crap.he asked them: "so, did you guys have any good crack cocaine backstage".
oh yeah, and on a second note: THE KRITON IS ALL ABOUT SLAP BASS RIGHT NOW.just so you know.
Historical note here: I think that our band might have been called, at that point in time around '92, 'Chunking Dwee & Twat Juice Dwindlers', or something along those lines. And no, do not ask me why or what or anything about that, actually. Well, except that now out of the four of us: one is an optician, one is a consultant in a big international consultancy group, one is a taxi-cab driving & grave-digging guitarist in a proper metal band called Ahma and one is myself.
They should make a rockumentary 'bout Chunking Dwee & Twat Juice Dwindlers'. Like what the heck happened to these guys? Funkmetal prodigies never got to taste the fame they deserved...
dudes, i would LOVE to see that documentary!still, out of that band, iso-henkka is nowadays one of the biggest Children Of Bodom fans that i know of...
Oh, now I can't shake the image of "Iso-H" playing Bodom on his axe wearing a gas mask and no shirt. I wasn't there when this happened, but I have a vivid image in my mind still.
