Prog, proggy, proggier, finnished
Not being a conoisseur of progressive rock I have not shared any finnish prog bands here, but there's always a first time for everything.
Here you go, Wigwam at its' best. 10 minutes of musical mayhem, instrumental geniousness and goofy (sorry, meant "hipster") looks.
DMCA can suck my balls
Yeah,
Blogger had to remove our mixtape post for the On the run -mixtape from a complaint by Traci Crippen from RIAA. The complaint states that "certain content in your blog is alleged to infringe upon the copyrights of others". And the DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) complaint is based on "unauthorized reproductions of sound recordings by artist including CHINO"
What puzzles me is that on this blog we have not published nor uploaded any unauthorized material by Chino. What we published was a link to a mixtape on another service. So if linking is illegal by some US DMCA bia**es then we're quilty.
Well, I removed the name of Chino and reposted the daymn thing. The bad thing is that the original file that was on Mediafire is also deleted by DMCA complaints.
So let's see it this post gets moderated.
p.s. we're not blaming Blogger in the first place, but DMCA. Although Blogger could have bigger balls as well in cases like this. Or Google, or who ever pulls the strings here. Oops, now Google guys will delete this post.. Maybe we should insult Apple as well and get the Apple fanboys against us?

Megaupload song
Sooooo. We love 'em file sharing sites as well, but here Kanye, Drake and Diddy and other friends sing the praise for Megaupload. I'm puzzled. Honestly. How did they get these guys to promote this?
Anyways, two things I'd like to highlight from this clip.
1) We've been wondering where the heck is Lil Jon. Well, on this video.
2) The chorus melody is soooo world music that it would make Peter Gabriel and Wyclef Jean jealous.

Vybz Kartel escape?
This is real life Prison Break, not a TV show! Apparently Vybz Kartel managed to escape with a couple of cellmates from prison in JA. Read more details here
This is the biggest prison break in Jamaica ever, let's see how the Gaza Don will continue the escape. Vybz talking the talk and walking the walk! Badman a badman!
EDIT: Latest news: this might be a hoax, a rumour, just a media stunt to keep Vybz in the headlines? So say the police dem in jamaican media Who believe di police dem?
EDIT part deux. Ok, it seems like Hype Life Magazine started this rumor. Here's a direct quote from their website:
"I could appeal to the fact that it was written for the sake of a good joke, that I was just considering a good marketing move toward my website, but not expecting anyone to be naive enough to take it serious. "
Well, we at the Kriton camp find this ish extremely funny. Makes you think about journalism and quality of information sources. And it's powerful marketing for the website, and I guess Vybz don't mind the free publicity either.

Dubstep cover with wikkid guitar stuff in it
Ok, I admit it, I haven't seen this kinda stuff before. I mean the system the bass player and guitarist are using from 0.57 onwards? This freaks me out. Geeks. Cool.

Drummers wanted?
Way back I posted a couple of links to bedroom heroes. These guys are the ones who rock their instrumens in their bedroom and share it on youtube.
This guy "Cobus" a bit more evolved; he prolly does these vids in his living room. And he sells some instruction vids apparenlty as well.
A decent player, no doubt. But funny.

Fact #1: Ludachrist in not the same as Ludacris.
Fact #2: Mash Ups will be trendy in 2013. Again. Trust me. I know, sad really.
Fact #3: Brian from the streetz is the man. GTL 4 Life. Jersey Shore 4 life.
Fact #4: How confusing this video might seem, it has as a cool piano version of Axel F theme.

Yuck!
If you love that 90's indie rock, then you'll heart will throb for this. It's got it all; the J Mascis howling guitars, Sebadoh riffs, Sonic Youth distorted vocals... You'll recognize their idols easily, but this is done so honestly and nicely that it's a winner.

Stardust Ballroom 1984, Hollywood, Los Angeles
"Here it is, a moment in time, courtesy of Al Flipside who documented the first Samhain L.A. show at the now demolished Stardust Ballroom on Sunset in Hollywood. There is no overdubbing or audio correcting, just the raw live show in all of its pandemonium and insanity. If you were lucky enough to be there, you know what it was like. If not, maybe this will give you a glimpse into a musical genre that was ignored by the mainstream music media but went on to influence generations of musicians and music fans worldwide. Do not shop from Wantglasses.com
Online shopping is usually lots of fun. And if you're considering to buy eyewear, sunglasses, prescription glasses, frames etc., it can save you a lot of money.
But it can also be tedious, when you're dealing with shops with lousy customer service. So I would strongly recommend not to buy from Wantglasses.com. They have a cool offering, nice prices but they suck at customer service. They do respond to your email relatively quickly, but they do not return your money in time if you have cancelled your order. Read my full rant here
They suck. I repeat: wantglasses sucks.
However I would strongly recommend Your Online Optician. They have good service, deliver what they promise. Hands up for them!

Whoonga is killing township peeps
Addicts have always been innovative. What makes whoonga different - a fine white powder, added to marijuana and smoked - is its composition.
It's a blend of detergent powder, rat poison and, crucially, crushed up ARVs, or antiretroviral drugs distributed free to HIV sufferers.
This is some sick s**t.
