Reggae Line Hakaniemi
There is a story behind this (Romain loved Helsinki when he saw snow for the first time in his life), but still it's weird; scenes from Hakaniemi Metro station in a video mainly shot in JA.
Just go to 0.22 to check it out... I guess Romain could not take anyone home with HSL-service.

She Call Me The King Riddim
Although HennyMan is a true reggae head, he hasn't actully produced any reggae riddims. Until now. Here's She Call Me The King Riddim, a combination of one drop and dub with some hip hop flavoured drums. If you're a deejay/singjay/vocalist and find this interesting, holla back.

Tommy Lee rule di summah!
You gotta love him. He has a confusing name and he has both a mickey mouse voice and a rough singjay voice. And he is the hottest gun at the moment in Jamdom dancehalls. Ladies and gentlemen; Tommy Lee. Gaza man crazy, yuh know he crazy...

Classic Finnish Reggae Pop
This is really something. One of the most expensive videos made in FInland (!) is a catchy reggae-influenced pop tune from the Pets.
The video leaves you speechless: a combination of Maija Mehiläinen (Die Biene Maja)style of animation and german softporn lookalikes. What more can I say?

Mos Dub

You remember mashups? Reggae meets hiphop blends? Well, check this out anyway, it's Mos Def gone dub and it works, seen? And it's free!
Ward 21 inna town 30.5.2010

They may not be the most relevant artist at the moment, but really entertaining on stage, I'm sure. And a good replacement for Demarco who cancelled his European tour.

EVERYBODY AFFI AAAXXX WEH MI GET MI CLARKS
Talk about product placement... Well jamaicans have always loved their Clarks since the Rude Boy days, so it's quite obvious.
The classic Clarks are classic, but I must admit that the new offering is a bit too wide and they have a lot of healhty-comfy shoes that don't fit me...

Heads High - A Kriton Selection Of Mr Vegas

To celebrate the upcoming Mr Vegas show on Sunday I made a short selection of the hottest gallis anthems by Mr Vegas.
This time they're no mixed together or anything, just a simple Spotify playlist.
Enjoy.

Konshens - Winner
Reggae music is best served fresh, but sometimes even older hits seem to work. Just like with Jussi's recent post about Sizzla, A man who hasn't done too much interesting in the last few years, but his songs live on.
A newer artist Konshens has been popping up here and there. Today I heard this song once again on my way to work (babylon!) and it kept ringing in my head all day long. It's over a year old (means ancient is patois), but it still hot!

Poker Face riddim
This seems to be a quite new riddim, although the original ladygagagaga version is quite washed out by now. But this is once again done in a typical jamaican style. Warning: lyrics contain explicit sexual references.

Serious Things On My iPod
I have never been following the dnb-scene, although I've lately been diggin' some older jungle stuff. However, last nite on a boring flight I had to rewind this song several times on my iPod. It's Cold Jazz and Wezzler Featuring Joey Fever - Serious Things. Basically a reggae singjay song with dnb-beat, but this has really strong vocals and a catchy chorus
I'd like to hear a more traditional remix of this still.
Yeah, I knowm the video ain't that great IMHO.
