Shaded Rooms

Year 2015 brings the first tune from HennyMan in a while. This time a track that's a well bodied and a tasty coctail of softrock, disco & electro. It is somewhere in between of Eagles, Kraftwerk & Chromeo. With a clear schlager feel to it. This is the instrumental version with some additional melodies to spice it up. Vocal version should come later this year, let's hope Glenn Frey can find the time to drop by at the Staten Island Studios.

Deeper with Jacques and Nachos

This new Nacho Lovers tune Deeper is crazy good. But on top of that, these canucks have made the awesomest video of the year. Clips from vintage Jacques Cousteau footage that go so well along their blissful, nautical electronic soundscapes. You gotta love this.

This thing is out on Fool's Gold records, with brilliant remixes from fellow canadians like Azari & III, CFCF and Mike Mind. Go n giddit!

Hrmmm.. a new documentary about the rise of electro, bloghause and the noughties club scene? Why not. Might seem a little bit outdated at some parts already, but still looks quite interesting.

Drop The Pressure by Mylo is one of my all time favourite electro bangers, check the vid below.

Now to make this year pretty nice, The South Rakkas Crew have done a remake on that riddim with Serocee. The songs called "Dance Wid Me" and you can download it and actually the whole album "Stimulus Package" from Mad Decent for free, in 320 kbps and it's all friggin legal as s**t and all. I really loved Jzzmeister's post about 'ye ole chicago house music. I've been in Paris for the last week, and I must say that I'm totally feeling the french house music and electro right now. Well you can't miss it here, 'cos even the upscale department stores like Galeries Lafayette play Justice & other as "elevator music". I'm kinda novice on the subject - I've got the obvious Daft Punk albums and Ed Banger compilations at home, but I haven't really gotten into the whole filter using aural pleasure as a genre.

I guess we just dropped out the "High School" out of our name recently. No particular drama there, we just kinda moved on from high school to other levels of education.

We've been putting some new s**t on tape as they say and we'll be putting that material out any day now, so beware. We've got some electro-influenced stuff and some AOR-sampling sweetness to come. Here's a clue in the form of a video, you might be getting something like this transformed into the year 2008... Just wait...

And we gotsta leak the working titles for all you fanatics: The songs area titled "Torcha!" and "Someone To Feed".

Swedish Disco Love. From Me 2 You.

New weeks, new tricks. And I'm not meaning those freestyle bike tricks Kanye is probably right now working hard to perfect on his Vigorelli track bike for his next video.

Anyhow, for some strange reason I'm really feeling THIS SONG right now: 
The Sounds - Tony the Beat (Rex the Dog Remix)

Of course it's good only because Rex The Dog remixed the original boring-ish power pop fake punk track into nice bouncy electro disco version.

And yeah, the singer chick sounds pretty hot too, in that special nasty way, with the heavy swedish accent, dirty voice, provocative lyrics and all. 

'Uuuuh baby, ja, ja, hej vill du festa med mig, vad, eller hur?'. She sounds like the type of chick you'd like to meet, yet be scared of meeting, in trendy bar at Södermalm when you're already drunk on mellan öl and in high on party mood. Don't even try to deny you wouldn't...

(FYI: Maybe I need to point out here that the singer is actually -unfortunately- neither of the girls on the cover of The Sounds' album  above. In fact, I remember reading somewhere that those lovely ladies on the cover shot are some fab real-life NYC scenesters...)
